DNA Results

Previous testing

Family Tree DNA currently does not have a Bursley surname DNA project, but has three kits associated with this surname. One Bursley (kit #B2313) has joined the Mayflower Society DNA Project Subgroup: "XX - Howland, John YDNA/FF Tests" and through an autosomal DNA test from another company was found to fall under R-M269>PF7562.

NGS/WGS testing

NGS/WGS testing of patrilineal (direct male line Y-DNA descendants) would identify the haplogroup for the family and possibly define subclades for descendants.
