Biography

First Generation

William Bennett was born in England about 1604 (deposed aged 73 in 1677), place and parentage Unknown. He was in Plymouth Colony by 1632, but moved out of the Colony around 1633, settling initially at Salem, before moving to Manchester where he died 20 Nov 1682. His wife was named Jane and they had four children (Salem): Moses (c1637 appar. never marr.), Deliverance (c1639), Aaron (c1641) and Mary (bp 1654 unm.)

Second Generation

Aaron Bennett was born Salem, abt 1641 and was bp with his elder siblings 2 Jul 1643. He died Manchester bef 21 Nov 1709. He married abt 1644 Hannah ____ and they had six children (Manchester): Hannah (1665), Jane (1675), Aaron (1677), Alice (1679), Elizabeth (1680) and Mary (1685).

Third Generation

Aaron Bennett (II) was born Manchester 25 Mar 1677 and died there 13 Feb 1753. He married twice, first Manchester 20 Nov 1700 Anna Pickworth, then Manchester 21 Feb 1735 Abigail, widow of ____ Gardner (no ch.) By his first wife he had four children (Manchester): Elizabeth (1701), Aaron (1705), Mary (1707) and Moses (1715).

The Bennett DNA Project does not currently have anyone claiming William Bennett as their Most Distant Known Patrilineal Ancestor (MDKPA).

NGS/WGS testing
