Biography

First Generation

William Bridge(s) was born presumably in England abt 1615. After the death of his currently unknown father, his mother (given name also currently unknown) married (Capt.) John Oldham. William died Charlestown bef 6 Feb 1678/9. He married by 1643 Persis Pierce and they had four children (Charlestown): Rebecca (1643/4), Persis (c1645), Samuel (1647) and Mary (c1649).

Second Generation

Samuel Bridge(s) was born Charlestown 25 Mar 1647 and died Boston aft 1717. He was married thrice, first abt 1672 Hannah Bayes, then Boston 3 Dec 1690 Christian Stoddard (widow of Nathaniel Peirce) and finally Boston 27 May 1712 Mary Bossenger (no ch.) By his first wife he had (Boston): Samuel (1672-1672), Hannah (1673), Ellen (1677), William (1679 unk. if marr.), Abigail (1681), Persis (1683), Benjamin (1684/5), Ebenezer (1687) and John (1689). By his second wife he had: Hannah (1691), Bethiah (1700) and Ellen (1702).

Third Generation

Benjamin Bridge(s) was born Boston 18 Feb 1684[/5] and died there 8 Jun 1739. He married Christian Pierce and they had at least: Christian (1707), Hannah (1710), Esther (1712), Benjamin (1715 unk. if marr.) and Abigail (1728).
