The Sargent DNA Project subgroup: "NO MATCHING SARGENT YET (singletons) (advise admin when match found)" has one individual claiming Hugh Sargent (c1530-1595) (grandfather of Rev. William Sargent) was their Most Distant Known Patrilineal Ancestor (MDKPA). This individual has tested Y111 STRs and also transferred his Y-DNA results from the National Genographic Project 2.0 where he was given the haplogroup of: R1b-U106.

Plugging in his 111 YSTR values into the NevGen Y-DNA Haplogroup Projector (and looking under R1b-M269 clades) gives a prediction of falling under: R1b U106>FGC3861>> Z8053 (possibly FGC17464(389ii=17,520=19)) with a 98.1% probability

Anyone who believes they are a patrilineal descendant is encouraged to Y-DNA test, join this FTDNA project and contact MayflowerDNA1620@gmail.com.
