[https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Williams-934 (Rev.) Roger Williams]] was presumably born in London abt 1606, son of James Williams and Alice Pemberton. He died Providence RI 1 Apr 1683. He married High Laver, Essex 15 Dec 1629 Mary Barnard and they had six children: Mary (1633), Freeborn (dau 1635), Providence (dau 1638), Mercy (1640), Daniel (1641/2) and Joseph (1643).

===Second Generation===

He married Providence 2 Dec 1676 Rebecca Rhodes (widow of Nicholas Power) and they had seven children: Mary, Peleg, Roger (1680), Daniel, Patience, Providence (dau) and Joseph.

Roger Williams was their Most Distant Known Patrilineal Ancestor (MDKPA) Unfortunately, they are scattered throughout the project. None has Y-SNP tested, but one has taken the Family Finder autosomal test and been found to fall under R1b-U106.
